John Santalucia established Bundaberg earthmoving and agricultural business interests in 1958, expanding with property acquisitions, development and sugar growing over the next six decades.
His passion for residential development and regional growth is recognised through the establishment of significant high-quality residential communities (Santa Fe Heights, Coral Gardens, Sanctuary Park etc.).
A desire to diversify led to John’s purchase of Sugarland Shoppingtown, Avoca in 1992 and the subsequent expansion and renovations that transformed the centre, largely into the facilities it provides to the wider Bundaberg and regional communities today.
Ongoing agricultural and new commercial projects, including industrial development at Enterprise Street and commercial projects at Kepnock, including Aldi, have bolstered regional economic activity.
We're focused on building high-quality residential, commercial and industrial estates that make a positive impact on the Bundaberg Region.
JOHN SANTALUCIA, Director
An advocate for regional growth through collaboration, John donated 28 hectares of land to the Queensland Government in 1989 to establish a farm training college that operated for 8 years. In 1998 it evolved into the Burnett Youth Learning Centre which is still operating today.
Where we are today
Today, developing regional communities is complex. John takes a customer-centric approach because our customers are our future residents and are the heartbeat of our communities.
John and his family take pride in their business achievements and contribution to regional growth while maintaining the same family values upon which the business was founded (integrity, collaboration, innovation and excellence).
